1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files a website places on your device. Other browser storage (localStorage, IndexedDB) works similarly. In this policy we call all of them cookies.

2. What we use — in short

We use only strictly necessary cookies — those required for the service you request (signing in, payment). We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel), so we do not ask for consent. If this changes, we will ask for your consent before enabling such cookies.

3. The kodar.lt website

The kodar.lt information website does not use cookies and stores nothing on your device. Fonts and other resources are served from our own server, so no data is passed to third parties when you visit.

4. The app.kodar.lt web app

When you use Kodar in a browser, the following is stored on your device:

Sign-in session (Google Firebase, IndexedDB) — so you stay signed in after reloading. Necessary. Kept until you sign out.
Cart, search history and form preferences (localStorage) — your cart contents, recent searches and entered values. Deleted when you sign out. Stored on your device only, never sent to us.
Stripe cookies (__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid) — fraud prevention during payment. Loaded only when the checkout opens. Necessary for secure payment. Expire after 1 year (__stripe_mid) and 30 minutes (__stripe_sid). More: Stripe cookie policy.
Sign in with Google — if you choose this, Google may use its own cookies in its sign-in window under its own terms.

5. Mobile app

The Kodar mobile app (iOS / Android) does not use cookies in the classic sense, but stores on your device:

Sign-in session (in encrypted device storage)
Settings and search history
Interest profile for recommendations ("Recommended for you") — on the device only, never sent to us
Push notification token
Cache (listings, images)

This data is deleted from the device when you sign out.

6. Third-party services

We use these providers to run the service; they may process technical data:

Google Firebase — authentication, database, cloud functions, push notifications
Stripe — payment processing
Algolia — listing search (no cookies)
NoParcels — shipping services (only when creating a shipment)
Sentry — error monitoring (technical data without personal identification, no cookies)

7. Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies and other stored data in your browser settings. If you block necessary cookies, signing in and payment on app.kodar.lt will not work.

8. Policy changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page, and we will ask for consent before using any non-essential cookies.
